These guys have
old fashioned business values: attention to detail, insistence on
quality and communicating with the customer daily. They are truly a
rarity.

Thanks a lot, guys. You do perfect work. Robert Stoll
Kurt and Paul were both a
pleasure to work with. They are attentive and responsive to
customers' wants. They are
ready to offer helpful suggestions if asked, but are always willing to
do things your way. They show up on time every day, take extreme care
not to damage or soil other surfaces, and always leave your home
uncluttered and clean at the end of the day. What more can you ask?
You impressed us from the start because you
spotted areas that we were aware of that needed special attention
and which others estimating our job never commented on. True
to our first impression, we found your crew to be meticulous, fast
and hard working.

Do you have old, tacky or failing wallpaper in your home? No
one really seems to like the work of removing wallpaper but it is definitely
worth doing.
Leave the tough work to us. We carefully protect everything;
use a variety of techniques and tools to remove the wallpaper; repair any
resulting drywall damage; apply texture as needed; then prime and paint the
walls. From just one layer of wall paper to multiple coats we can remove it
for you.
This wallpaper removal job in Blue Lake, Oregon was a bit further than we
normally drive and the wallpaper was in horrible shape. But, our customers
were a very nice older couple who had started doing the wallpaper removal
themselves and now with just a couple weeks to go before Christmas really
needed help to get it done. In less than a week we removed all the old
layers of wallpaper, repaired all the lath and plaster walls, prep, primed
and painted.
Should you strip or paint over
wallpaper?
You can definitely paint over wallpaper. We have mixed feelings
about it.
One can paint over well adhered wallpaper by removing any areas that
are not well glued down and cutting out the seams. Then you prime with
an oil based primer or better yet shellac. Water based paint or primer
can make your wallpaper bubble.
Even if the paper is vinyl it is important to prime because using a good oil-based
primer-sealer or shellac will insure that the paint will stick to smooth vinyl
surface.
One reason we don't suggest painting over wallpaper is that over time
the wallpaper could fail. The
resulting repair is not difficult, just cut out all the loose areas,
prime and float wallboard compound. Since wallpaper failure once it
starts tends to be
progressive, this process of failure/repair could continue on and on
over the years. If you spend the time now to strip the paper, you save
yourself future disappointment.
